Our Impact

SDGs We Seek to Solve

Dehy Crops aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our solar-powered dehydration and cold-chain solutions directly support these four priorities.

SDG 01

No Poverty

Post-harvest loss pushes smallholder farmers deeper into poverty. By turning surplus into saleable dried products, we create a stable secondary income. Farmers earn from produce that would otherwise rot—meaning more cash in their pockets and less dependence on volatile fresh-market prices.

SDG 02

Zero Hunger

When food is preserved instead of wasted, more of it reaches tables. Solar dehydration extends shelf life from days to months, so nutritious vegetables are available off-season and in regions with limited cold chain. We support food security by reducing loss and making quality ingredients accessible.

SDG 03

Climate Action

Our operations run on 100% solar energy—no diesel, no grid dependency. Low-temperature drying preserves nutrients without fossil fuels. By cutting waste we also reduce the emissions and resources spent on food that never gets eaten. Clean technology for a cleaner planet.

SDG 04

Responsible Consumption and Production

We turn surplus and second-grade produce into value instead of landfill. Every batch is traceable from farm to package, so buyers know exactly what they are getting. Efficient use of resources, less waste, and transparent supply chains align with sustainable consumption and production.

Our Process

How We Do Agricultural Work

A transparent, quality-controlled journey from harvest to your table.

Full Process
01

Sourcing & Collection

We partner directly with farmers at peak harvest, when produce is at its freshest. Our field teams work alongside agricultural cooperatives across Ghana to source surplus tomatoes, okra, chili, onions, and garlic before they reach the market or risk spoilage.

02

Quality Inspection & Sorting

Every batch passes through our quality control station. We sort by size, color, and condition—rejecting anything that does not meet our standards. This step ensures consistency in every bag we produce and protects the reputation of both our farmers and our buyers.

03

Solar-Powered Dehydration

Our solar dehydration units operate at low temperatures, gently removing moisture while locking in nutrients and flavor. No grid dependency. No emissions. Just clean, sustainable preservation that extends shelf life from days to months without additives or preservatives.

04

Processing & Packaging

Dehydrated produce is processed into the form our buyers need—slices, flakes, powders—then packaged in food-grade materials. Labels include batch codes, origin, and best-before dates. Export orders receive documentation for customs and compliance.

What partners say about us

Having a three-in-one solution to this devastating challenge of post-harvest losses will be a game changer in our agriculture process. Having a one-stop facility where we can either dehydrate, use the cold storage facility, and also utilize the solar cold van to transport our produce will mean more cash in our pocket and less wastage.
